Besselink & Jones

Besselink & Jones’ roots extend back over sixty years to the foundation of Jack Cadman’s original ceramic conversion and brass turning workshops in Surrey. Hank Besselink, who came from a precision engineering background, began working alongside Jack to develop new designs and techniques. Nearly a decade later, Hank partnered with designer and accomplished artist Nigel Jones, so Besselink & Jones was born.

As with all the best collaborations, the founders brought together contrasting but entirely complementary skills. They shared a desire to create exquisite lighting of the highest caliber. Their renewed passion for engineering decorative pieces combined the best English design and craftsmanship with a meticulous eye for detail, yielding considerable dividends.

The initial Besselink & Jones commission was for stylish library lights destined for Windsor Castle. This prestigious project marked the beginning of a growing reputation for excellence. Today, Besselink & Jones continues to be celebrated for its commitment to quality, innovation, and timeless elegance in lighting design.
